Texas Health Care Association
The Texas Healthcare Association is a statewide legislative advocacy group. The agency serves the interest of thousands of care givers and care facilities alike, improving overall conditions and ensuring proper compensation for those who dedicate their lives for the well being of others.
As a large non-profit organization serving thousands of members across the state of Texas, THCA was dealing with limitations that were closely tied to the technology used in its website as well as a very cumbersome user interface that caused confusion and frustration for users seeking specific information. Additionally, users had “universal access” to protected content, which is not an ideal model for an organization that depends on its members dues in order to exist.
What they needed
how we solved it
Fahrenheit created a fresh look for THCA. Understanding the target demographic group THCA serves, the agency capitalized on large text, white space, big images and an overall clean layout to facilitate navigation and content access. The agency retained THCA's colors though a completely new take on the use of them was employed.
It was very important to keep our focus on usability. The nature of what THCA does is driven by information and that is what we needed to communicate well. A clean and fresh look with high contrast, large fonts and images with lots of white space was the driving force behind our design approach. The end result is quite gorgeous, we think ;-)
TxHCA.org was outdated, cumbersome, off-brand and nearly unusable. With the new design, Fahrenheit brought the website’s users a tremendous value, adding to the appeal of THCA as an advocacy agency. Users now have individual accounts, protected by their own credentials and enjoy a clear path into the valuable information available to members only. The content structure is completely re-engineered and intuitive for anyone in the industry.
We are excited for TXHCA.org and look forward to continue our service to this fine agency.
